People often think that heartbreak is like a storm.
To some extent, it makes sense.
Usually there is a calm before the storm.
You know? Those calm moments when you both know it’s over.
But neither of you have the courage to say the words.
Too afraid to face the truth.
People think heartbreak is like a storm.
It’s so bad, for a period of time.
You can’t see, can’t feel, can’t do anything.
For some while, you’re trapped in that feeling of despair.
In feeling lost.
But I, for one, believe that heartbreak is like an ocean.
You see, heartbreak doesn’t come in a huge storm.
It comes in waves.
Heartbreak makes you ache in the most unpredictable time.
When you hear their names.
When you see someone like them passing by.
When you see your friend eating his favorite food.
When you accidentally hum his favorite song.
When you see a really funny meme, and all you wanna do is forward it to him.
But he’s no longer there.
Yeah, heartbreak comes in waves.
Sometimes the wave is so big that you run out of breath.
You’re overwhelmed.
Sometimes the wave is tiny.
You can pretend to be strong and shrug it off.
But I’m sure that heartbreak is like an ocean.
The waves keep coming.
On and on, and on.
You’re not fully healed yet before another pain strikes.
You’re desperately gasping for air.
Yet it keeps coming.
On and on, and on.
Until you’re drowning.
